  1. (On Linux) Click on the "Bluetooth Devices" icon in the Panel
  2. (On Linux) From the "Adapter >> Preferences" menu, set the "Visibility Setting" to "Temporarily Visible" (3 mins should be adequate)
  3. (On Linux) Press "Close"
  4. (On Windows) Start --> Control Panel --> Bluetooth Devices
  5. (On Windows) In the "Bluetooth Devices" applet, ensure the "Devices" tab is highlighted, and click on the "Add..." button
  6. (On Windows) On the "Add Bluetooth Device Wizard" screen, check the "My device is set up and ready to be found" (that's what you did in step 2)
  7. (On Windows) Wait for the flashlight to stop waving, then highlight the computer to wish to pair with. Click "Next>"
  8. (On Windows) Either "Choose a passkey for me" or (Let me choose my own passkey" (personal preference). Click "Next>"
  9. (On Linux) Key in the passkey presented immediately after step 8

Note: if Linux doesn't respond with a screen to permit you to key in the passcode, check that the Linux Bluetooth is in "Visible" mode!
